19thC English Ebonised Double Sided Mahogany Shop Counter

Four glazed doors to the front with internal shelving, original brass latches and recessed handles. Seven drawers to the rear with original wooden handles, original till drawer with receipts still in tact, and open shelving underneath.

Struck by the affliction in ’96 as a design graduate drawn to antiques that have truly lived, sometimes loved, but survived in some part to ‘tell the story’ or to be re-imagined and awakened once again. My North Star has always been my design principles of form, function, texture, balance, emphasis, proportion, and colour. For me, my eyes rest easily upon a well worn surface, the knocks, bruises, creases and scars, all part of our life story.
