This is a Douglas DC 2 model airplane which was created as an award for a Japanese Airmail contest in 1934. The model is very well detailed & made from a heavy metal with an enamel finish. It has writing molded into the under side of the body, in Japanese, detailing the award. The model comes in it's original wooden crate. A very unique & one of a kind historic model.
