Founded in 1986, the Galerie des Lyons is a family business, originally an art gallery specializing in painting and bronzes from the 19th and 20th centuries, it has diversified since the new generation represented by Benjamin des Lyons and Laure Mutti des Lyons to become a hybrid space dedicated to the art of living and contemporary collectible design.
The Galerie des Lyons is now specialized in contemporary art and design, it strives to marry with elegance and a very sure taste, shapes and materials, establishing unique dialogues between sculptures, pieces of design and crafts. The artistic orientation is deliberately eclectic; the works are chosen mainly for their quality and originality and all contribute to the realization of timeless atmospheres.
The Galerie des Lyons also gives great attention to the conception and the realization of specials and tailor-made projects which result to singular creations for collectors and decorators in search of a unique art of living.
Laure and Benjamin, as a couple and young parents, are invested in this new direction of the Gallery since 2019. Traveling to the four corners of the world, constantly looking for new talents, singular creations, unique and or limited edition works of high-end quality to offer to the passionate and professional as well.
Laure Mutti des Lyons comes from the world of fashion and luxury. After studying marketing, she spent 10 years in big houses. Passionated about museums and art from her very young ages, for this design enthusiast this reconversion was obvious.
For Laure, these universes are linked: "in fashion as in interior decoration it is necessary to know how to associate materials, shapes, colors, skillfully mix genres for a unique rendering".
Benjamin des Lyons, meanwhile, has completed a double degree in marketing and sustainable development in business school. He is an entrepreneur, passionate about art and architecture. This passion was transmitted to him by his father, a fine collector from its very young age: "This project was born of beautiful encounters that also allow us to interact in a very concrete way with the various craftsmen, designers and artists and, more broadly, with Art. We hope to take advantage of this fabulous opportunity to soon develop our own collections. It is a child’s dream that is about to become a reality".
