Pair of Michel Arnoult "Ouro Preto" Armchair, Brazilian Mid-Century, 1960

$ 9,103
  • Description
    The Ouro Preto armchair is an important example of his genius as a designer, a piece with simple and elegant lines that contributes to any environment. Made of Imbuia wood, the minimalistic structure is combined with the beautiful nylon detail threads that support the backrest. The pieces were restored by one of our best craftsmanship in São Paulo, Brazil.

    Born in Paris, Michel Arnoult found his creative expression on the Brazilian scene. Today considered one of the great names representing design in the country, his pieces reflect his eternal search for the minimization of production costs and industrial processes, offering quality, cheap and easy-to-assemble furniture for the middle class at the time. His attention to wood materiality, comfort, and simple but very elegant lines can be recognized in his extensive legacy.
