    A standard since 1861 of the American late 19th century pressed glass industry, Gillinder & Sons, produced a large range of EAPG designs from their glass factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This set of lidded compotes or covered dishes is considered one of their finest designs. This pair have frosted standing lions on a log top/handle, twisted scalloped trim and a frosted footed base with three lion profiles. Very good condition. Set of 2. Dimensions are for larger. Smaller is 11" height.
