Description
George III caramel-colored inlaid mahogany secretaire bookcase of perfect proportions, the upper section with a molded cornice above diamond-shaped astragal glazed doors with mahogany cross-banding, enclosing three adjustable shelves and candle slides. The lower section with a hinged drawer front that opens to reveal a fitted interior with seven satinwood small drawers flanked by five pigeon holes and a gilt-tooled lime green leather inset writing surface. The two lower hexagonal-shaped panel doors open to reveal two sliding shelves. All raised on splay bracket feet. Retains original keys. The patina is outstanding.
