Description
A rare and very beautiful pair of 19th century Italian walnut pedestal cabinets. The tops (13″ diameter) have book matched veneers in a star pattern radiating from the center. The square bases are on bracket shaped feet and are inlaid with brass. I think that these were originally about 28″ tall. This pair was made in Italy during the first part of the 19th century. You will find similar designs made during the Art Deco period and today. This pair would be great small bedside tables or end tables. Classics!
Condition: Nice overall condition. Recently polished. Some small veneer repairs. Some fading to tops. Small brass nobs later. Possibly reduced in height -
