Rare and elegant pair of half lantern-shaped sconces in opaline glass and brass, attributed to Paolo Buffa, Italy, 1950s. These exquisite sconces have beautiful details throughout including the brass mounts with ornamentation on top, and clear glass disc and brass decoration on the bottom. This graceful Buffa design is exemplary of his work during the 1940s and 1950s in the Art Deco style - a melding of Neoclassical tradition with modernity during this period of classic Italian design.
Rewired to U.S. standards including UL listing. -
