Afra & Tobia Scarpa Wood & Fabric Dining Chairs - 1970's
-
Description
With their rectangular frames and the two-piece fabric backrest, this set of dining chairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa shows the true essence of their design philosophy. The seat and backrest are made of beige fabric, providing great comfort. The combination of the warm wooden frame and the light-coloured fabric offers a balanced match.
Afra (1937-2011) & Tobia (1935-) Scarpa both studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture. Tobia first worked for the Italian glass manufacturer Venini. From 1960 on the creative duo opened their own design office. Their work includes architecture and everyday items like furniture and clothing. Tobia & Afra designed for numerous major Italian and international companies like Flos, Gavina, B&B Italia, Cassina and Knoll International. Furthermore, the designers-duo worked on many promising interior projects for numerous companies worldwide.
These dining room chairs would fit well in a modern interior with a rustic twist. We have eight chairs available, priced per piece. All chairs are in excellent condition. -
