Danish Mid-Century Wood & Velvet Arm Chairs, Pair
-
Description
Danish Mid-Century and Art-Deco design is some of the best from said eras. The Danish sensibility for delicate proportions far excelled that of any other furniture makers of the time. A common characteristic of the Danish style is unparalleled comfort while maintaining a small overall footprint. These Arm Chairs are no different; subtle drama with exquisite proportions allowing them to be placed in a multitude of spaces.
The Object Refinery team imported this pair of chairs from Denmark with the express intention of a full restoration. We brought each chair down to its frame and completely refinished the beechwood arms and legs in a handsome stain which brings out the gorgeous personality of the wood. Our team selected a rich 100% cotton velvet in the color Sand for the new upholstery, streamlining design details so as to update this pair of chairs for today’s home environment.
The curvaceous wood, supple velvet, and delicate proportions allow for these Danish chairs to settle into any space with ease. Prominently placed in a living room, in a cozy bedroom nook, or perhaps a more intimate study space; the options are limitless. -

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
