French Louis XVI Style Marble Top Commode

Description
A wonderful Louis XVI style commode from 19th century France. Mahogany body topped with its original piece of white marble featuring an ogee edge. Fluted details flank three wide drawers which have all been cleaned and easily open. Each paneled drawer and side has brass banding along with geometric brass pulls. Matching brass escutcheons depicting laurel tied with a ribbon grace the center of each drawer. A single key is included for all three working locks. Supported by square, tapered legs with brass sabots on the feet. This commode has been polished with a French paste wax to bring out the warm patina.
