Description
Petatillo weaving in Yucatan has been practiced for more than 50 years. It is usually woven with the natural root of the vine. It is manual work, one hundred percent artisan, which we are extremely proud to be able to offer to our customers. At Chuch Estudio, we innovate this practice through weaving with Nylon thread. In order to create a more resistant fabric and to obtain infinite combinations of colors and woods.
Chuch Studio based in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. A creative society formed by architect and creative director Aranza García and textile designer Natalia Ramirez.
The interiors and products are designed with interdisciplinary, poetic, and sculptural approaches. Created with their own craft process and inspired by the context that surrounds them. The results are funny, playful, emotional, absurd, colorful, and occasionally pretend to be serious. -
