This daybed has a minimalist aesthetic and a relaxed, sophisticated vibe that, contrary to popular belief, is difficult to achieve. It is characterized by the three tenets of mid-century modern design: functionality, minimalism, and simplicity, incorporating a mostly utilitarian design made with natural wood.

Over the centuries, furniture fashion has deviated from ornate, classic looks to styles that blur the lines between artistry and functionality. As such this daybed has a streamlined, elegant look achieved by natural materials and functional elements. The focus is divided equally between the solid wooden base and the fully upholstered seat cushion. The square cushion beautifully emerges from the frame, following its straight lines. The tufting features buttons in the centre of each indentation. The stitches are shallower than in diamond tufting, creating light depressions. The balance of the materials, surfaces and textures is striking, especially the pairing of the button tufted light fabric and the wooden sled-like square base. The structure is completed by side stretchers that assure stability and also add a distinguishing visual element to the design. Combining the comforts of a bed and a sofa, this versatile model can both be an accent piece or complement and enhance its surroundings.

This hybrid form of seating has many advantages; unlike a traditional sofa, this modern bench-style daybed won't block the view of the window and the deep seat also means more space for pillows or throws. Its stylish, minimalist look is truly timeless enhanced by the impeccable craftsmanship.
