Vintage Swedish Rag Rug

Sold Sold
  • Description
    - An art form derived from necessity, rag rugs were traditionally made from discarded clothing. Through braiding and stitching, these cast-off pieces were given a second life and transformed into usable art by domestic makers.

    - Features a summery palette of soft blue, faded red, and ivory. Layer it atop other rugs or let it stand alone, it would be especially at home atop painted floors.

    - This one-of-a-kind rug is in good vintage condition, with wear consistent with age and use, notably a few loose threads throughout the weaving and one spot of discoloration visible from both sides of the rug. Please see our detailed photos.
