This rare Louis XVI style ebonized desk stamped Maison Jansen has been made in the early 1950s with black varnished mahogany wood, cognac leather top, and rich gilt bronze decor and accents. With its sleek rectangular bureau plat shape, fluted feet with brass sabots, rich gilt bronze decorations, this desk is typical of the French neoclassical work of Maison Jansen, Louis XVI inspired. It features three drawers on the front, with its original cognac leather top with a beautiful patina. This desk has been fully restored and refinished, and is in an amazing condition. A rare find, early Jansen quality made, with a lot of attention to details, stamped Jansen.
