Natasha Karpinskaia
Russian
Natasha Karpinskaia is a Russian-American artist known for her colorful abstract paintings. She was born in Moscow, Russia in 1970 and moved to the United States in 1990 to pursue a career in art.
Karpinskaia's paintings are characterized by their vibrant colors, bold shapes, and dynamic compositions. She uses a variety of media, including acrylic paint, ink, and collage, to create multi-layered and textured surfaces in her works.
Karpinskaia's paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Pera Museum in Istanbul, Turkey. She has also been the recipient of several awards and grants, including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant.
In addition to her studio practice, Karpinskaia is also a professor of art at the University of Miami in Florida.
