Modernist Streamlined Black Vitrolite Beveled Banded Mirror by Karl Springer

Description
This stunning banded mirror was realized by the legendary American designer Karl Springer in the United States, circa 1985. Springer is credited with breathing new life into the Art Deco aesthetic for a modern audience. This beautiful mirror highlights the streamlined form- a leitmotif throughout Deco design- throughout each of the four rounded corners of the lustrous chrome wrapped black vitrolite frame, as well as the interior mirrored (and beveled) panel. This piece has the "bold proportions [and] eye catching palette" that discerning collectors of Springer's work absolutely adore. With its clean modernist lines, and beautiful formal (and tonal) contrasts, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
