Description
1 Volume. Philip Guedalla, The Duke. A Cosway-style binding by Bayntun. Bound in full red morocco with the front board displaying an insert portrait in color, bordered in a wreath of intricate tooling, and the front and back boards displaying gilt bordering and noble accents in the corners. Raised bands gilt with panels displaying similar noble gilt tooling and borders; label lettering in gilt. All edges gilt, morocco, and gilt detailed turn-ins, watered silk doublures, and endpapers. Includes various illustrations and maps throughout including a colored map and portrait frontispiece. Published by Hodder & Stoughton, Ltd. in London, 1931.
