Description
14 Volumes. Archibald Alison, L.L.D., History of Europe from the Commencement of the French Revolution to the Restoration of the Bourbons in 1815. Bound in full tan calf with covers bordered in gilt. Raised band spines with panels displaying ornate gilt floral detailing. The bands are lined in gilt and the labels are in red and green calf with gilt lettering. All of the edges are marbled with marbled endpapers and gilt turn-ins. Includes portraits. Published by William Blackwood & Sons in Edinburgh and London, 1845.
