Fine Antique Levantine Inlaid Chest of Drawers
-
Description
This is a superb example of a Levantine Chest of Drawers. All exposed surfaces of the chest are finely detailed in inlaid bone, ebony and shell. The inlay takes the form of abstract flora in traditional Muslim patterns. All elements of the inlay appear to be intact. The chest retains its original surface and brass hardware which is also in very good condition. This is an unusual and substantial piece of furniture and would add interest and weight to any space in which it were placed.
