Unique complex Impressionist painting "Caribbean" on patinated bronze and pewter with colorful hand-painted enamels in special braided bronze frame by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip K LaVerne” in painting). Both Philip and Kelvin LaVerne were highly skilled artists and did unique paintings and works of art. “Caribbean” is a tribute to Caribbean women who carry heavy baskets on their heads. The LaVernes were inspired by this while on a trip to St. Thomas.
