Description
Stilnovo is founded in Milan by Bruno Gatta in 1946.
In December 1946 Stilnovo made its first appearance in Domus, where two table lamps and a brass tray were published. In 1949 Bruno Gatta's brother Paolo joined the company.
Stilnovo reaches the height of success at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. During this period he collaborated with high-profile architects and designers on several projects, among these designers there are also Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Melchiorre Bega, Gae Aulenti, Joe Colombo and Ettore Sottsass.
Here we have a pair of applique in brass and white glass diffuser realized by Stilnovo in 50s. They could both be placed on the wall and on the ceiling.
Presence of the original brand mark as shown in photos.
Good condition, fully original and fully working.
The light can be rewired for US standards upon request. -
