Pair of Carved Mid-Century Cabinets or Bedside Chests
-
Description
Both cabinets are in very good to excellent original condition. We acquired them from a well-known Beverly Hills estate that was decorated by Paul Ferrante in the early 1960's. The house was decorated with multiple mid-century master designer pieces and had not been touched since its creation. Although unsigned, these cabinets were the work of a master carver and cabinet maker. The interior features two drawers over a lower shelf. The finely detailed carved leaves were cerused and highlighted in white gold. These pieces would incorporate beautifully into a Palm Beach or Palm Springs or Hamptons aesthetic and are the peak of the Coastal design trend.
