    Stilnovo
Stilnovo is a prestigious Italian lighting manufacturer
Founded in 1946 in Milan by Bruno Gatta, the company participated in the 1947, 1951 Milan Triennale and in 1954 won its first Compasso D'Oro with its 2061 arm suspension. Renowned designers Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni added spectacular new lamps, and expanded Stilnovo to international markets.
The 1960s saw the birth of many new projects, including the Torre Galfa in Milan, designed by the architect Melchiorre Bega.
A new collaboration enriches the Stilnovo offer: Luigi Gorgoni and his Buonanotte lamp, considered a design icon.
1968 marks the revival of the brand, with designers such as: Joe Colombo, Angelo Mangiarotti, Ettore Sottsass, Marcello Pietrantoni, Roberto Lucci, Danilo and Corrado Aroldi designing for Stilnovo.
From the 1970s, the brand developed throughout the world, won prestigious design prizes and took part in numerous exhibitions in the most important museums of the world. His iconic Periscopio and Nuvola lamps notably enter the permanent collection of the MoMA Museum in New York.
Stilnovo is a precursor brand: Ettore Sottsass thus designed Don and Valigia, characterized by a radical design which, in the 1980s, gave birth to the Memphis style.
After four decades of activity, the brand closed his doors in 1988.
In 2019, the Line LightGroup relaunched the brand based on iconic design creations, but also by developing new contemporary lights, with a unique, modern and avant-garde style.
