French 19th Century Solid Walnut Directoire Commode

A classically designed Directoire period commode, crafted in France during the 1790s. Composed of solid walnut that’s gained a fantastic patina. The shaped top showcases the hardwood grain beautifully. A bank of 5 drawers all feature functioning locks, 2 keys are included and work for all. Easy to use brass pulls easily open all but the top center drawer. Recently cleaned and polished with French wax paste to revitalize the whole. Fluted joinery adorns every corner and terminates with simple feet. Make sure to view all of the images to get a closer look at the current condition of the stately case piece.
