Large Korean or Japanese Drip Glaze Studio Pottery Vase

Description
This is a stunning large Korean (?) (perhaps Japanese ?) Studio pottery drip glazed vase. This is a substantial piece of pottery measuring 18 inches in height and 10 inches in diameter. The vessel is in very good condition with normal wood fired kiln firing faults. The application of the various glazes is pure artistry with the surface taking on different tones according to the light hitting the vase. The tones vary from pale to deeper blue to almost violet. The greens evolve from a deep forest green to brownish tinged green to a turquoise green. This vessel would be perfectly at home in an Axel Vervoordt designed space as well as a minimalist mid-century home or as a fine antique placement.
**Please note: there are reflections of light on the vessel which are not part of the glazing.
