Description
Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, Circa 1745.
An early owner, Samuel Sharp (1737-1819), incised his name on the drawer bottom in this walnut removable leg chest, and in doing so left a clue to its origins near Avondale, Pennsylvania. This is likely the earliest known example of the form.
