Eric Berg’s Early California Antiques

953 Rice Avenue
Oxnard, CA 93030
United States

Twenty-five years of buying and selling and passionate collecting has resulted in a storehouse of California wares that is second to none in its depth and variety.
Recognized as an expert in the field, Eric Berg helped spearhead the revival of interest in the golden age of California design, crafts and style of the 1920s and 30s. Treasures from the great California potteries and tile makers, tables and chairs and lighting in the classic Spanish Revival and Colonial styles, Monterey, Coronado Del-Ray and Imperial furniture, and, of course, the incredibly diverse and exciting field of California painters fill our warehouse. From the late 19th century to the late twentieth century’s West Coast explosion of creativity, the works represented in our holdings represent an extraordinary range of styles and influences. Mexican art, crafts, and silver are joined by Native American jewelry and artifacts, and the Southwest and south of the border are equally strong here. Add to this American folk art and folk furniture, cowboy and western style, Victoriana, industrial, and the great visual poetry of American signs and advertising, and you begin to get the picture.
