Full Circle Modern specializes in the best of modern design, focusing on creators who flourished during the second half of the 20th century, with an emphasis on quality designer pieces from the 1960s and 1970s. Inventory includes the work of Paul Evans, Karl Springer, Vladimir Kagan, Charles Hollis Jones, Tommi Parzinger, Harvey Probber, Milo Baughman, and Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, among others, with a particular affection for pieces best described as functional art. Dominant materials are shiny metals, polished lucite and glass, expressive burl wood, and patinated bronze, as well as exotic finishes such as shagreen, horn and goatskin. Owner Barry Rice appreciates that modernism is not a straight line, but rather a boisterous conversation. On the surface, brutalism might not seem to have much in common with the rock-star-chic furniture of the 1970s, but both share roots in earlier branches of modernism. And both find a comfortable place in Full Circle Modern’s inventory. The collection is stored in our Brooklyn warehouse. All inventory can be perused on our website. Full Circle Modern places the highest priority on providing our clients complete information about our inventory’s condition and beauty. All pieces are carefully inspected, expertly restored when necessary, and accurately represented by the best photography in the business. Expect to find the unexpected—refurbished, re-contextualized, and ready for your home or project.
