Jean Royère
French, 1902 - 1981
Jean Royère was a French designer known for plush bright light hearted furniture. He was born in Paris in 1902 into a wealthy family and worked in banking before becoming an apprentice with Pierre Gouff. Royère founded his own company in 1944 and built a global clientele with offices in Beruit, Cairo, Tehran and São Paulo. Jean Royere chairs lights and other furniture is highly regarded across the world to this day.
