According to Favreau, “The client likes a mix of classic style juxtaposed with contemporary Abstract Expressionism and surreal images based in American tradition and antiques. While their home is in a traditional East Coast style, they are European transplants who like their home to feel collected from generations and distant locales. My design for their home reflects a sophisticated mix of furnishings and artwork that inspires and energizes their family. The husband travels extensively for work and enjoys the self-titled 'zen boutique' style, which features a tone-on-tone color palette but with lots of textures throughout. His wife, an English transplant, loves the bright pops of color as is evident in English country gardens. The two styles blend perfectly.
