Beautiful refined large garden statue, circa 1920s main material stone mixed with cement and marble dust, stone grit. Beautiful and majestic statue. A beautiful representation of Leda and the swan. The sculpture represents Leda, queen of Sparta, tenderly embracing the swan. Since classical antiquity, she has been one of the most famous subjects in the entire history of art. Zeus, in love with the splendid girl, approached her during a bath in the form of a swan, seduced her and mated with her and from that union, as the myth tells, Castor and Pollux were born. Shows signs of the passage of time and time spent outdoors. This statue is perfect for embellishing an important garden.
