1950s Aldo Londi for Bitossi Raymor Ceramic Vase, Signed
-
Description
Chunky ovoid ceramic vase designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, from the same patchwork series as the taller example. The vase features a bulbous, organic form with a gently tapering neck and base.
The surface is decorated with an abstract geometric patchwork in burnt orange, yellow, cream, burgundy, and charcoal gray, articulated by incised horizontal lines that create a deeply textured surface. Signed in black glaze on the underside “822 Italy,” with remnants of a Raymor paper label. -
