An Irish miniature satinwood piano sewing box painted by Herbert Cooper, in the form of a grand piano with a hinged lid opening to reveal a silk lined interior, decorated with a painted central spray of roses on the lid and daisy chains with beribboned swags on the front, with the original key and a paper label on the reverse stating ‘Porcelain + Painting, Queen’s Institute and College .Dublin’ and a pencil signature ‘H Cooper Dublin’. Irish, circa 1890.
