Davide Donà Italian Large Free-Form White Orange Red Blue Murano Art Glass Vase
-
Description
Venetian organic modern vase, contemporary Work of Art signed by Davide Donà in blown Murano Art glass with post modern design. This striking ivory pearl white vase overlaid in crystal Murano glass is beautifully worked with murrine insets in orange, blue and red tones in a deconstructed pattern, highlighted with black accents. The shape is unusual in its freeform design and accentuates the artistic work.
Davide Donà (born in Venice in 1982), from the illustrious Donà family of Master Blowers, has worked as Pino Signoretto’s assistant and is recognized for the rare ability to blow oversized pieces that require exceptional handling and maestria in working quickly with precise movements. In this particular instance, the extreme difficulty consists in achieving such inset decoration on an imposing and heavy body. His work is displayed at the Murano Glass Museum.
