Monumental Italian art glass vase, one of a kind tall Work of Art signed by Davide Dona, in blown Murano glass. The body in cobalt aqua blue, skillfully overlaid in crystal clear glass worked with bubbles to add texture and preciousness, is decorated by red-orange murrine in stripes that embrace the sides and highlighted in the front and back centre with warm red and yellow murine expanded like modern strokes in contemporary painting. Davide Doná, from the illustrious Doná family of Master Blowers, is recognized for the rare ability to blow oversized pieces that require exceptional handling and mastery in working quickly with precise movements. In this particular instance, the extreme difficulty consists in achieving such an elongated delicate neck with an imposing body.
