1970s Bertil Vallien Swedish Purple Green Yellow Art Glass Vase for Kosta Boda

A fun and colored single-flower modern vase by Swedish glass master Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, limited Edition n.48 on 77. Etched with the artist's signature and details under the base. This vase (that can be accompanied by a smaller item 1075PA) shows one of Bertil's favored juxtapositions of a bubble rounded form with a rectangular shape. The vase presents a blasted color decor typical of some of Vallien's works, the upper part with textured soft lime green, while the under part with a reeded amethyst violet handle is in a variegated yellow orange on clear. The permeability of light plays with the decor in colors, adding fun movement to the shape.
Bertil Vallien (born in 1938 in a suburb north of Stockholm) is an acclaimed artist who has exhibited with great success all over the world. His work is represented in many collections and prestigious Swedish and international museums.
