Description Important sculptural vase carved by hand from a solid block of Statuary marble.

Vase dimension: L 39 W 16.5, H 50 cm. Available in different marbles. Limited edition of 35.

The precious white Statuary marble has always been the one preferred by sculptors and artists for their artworks. Known throughout the world, this beautiful marble has been used since Roman times in sculptural art for its luster and compact structure, characteristics that make it perfect to be worked with a chisel.

Each vase is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved). 100% handmade in Italy comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity".

Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each marble block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object.

Pieruga proudly creates elegant accessories and complements in marble through artisanal processes, bringing into dialogue ancient techniques of sculpture with advanced technologies. 100% handmade in Italy.
Our mission is a clear signal of opposition to the enormous waste that occurs in the extraction and processing of large blocks of marble, tons of material are discarded and thrown, in disfigurement to the generosity of our mountains.
Rediscovering the ancient art of manual sculpture we give new life to even the smallest fragment of marble, bringing to light its millenary beauty that is lost in more than 2000 years of architecture and sculpture.

Pieruga marble is a new brand by Barberini & Gunnell.
The Atelier Barberini & Gunnell was founded by the architects and designers Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell

The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art + Design New York, Art Miami.
