French Bronze Group of Two Wolfhounds, by Mathilde Thomas-soyer (1858-1940) With ‘thiebaut Freres’ Foundry Seal and Stamped
A Group of Two Borzoi Hounds One Modelled Seated on Its Haunches, the Other Standing Howling With Head Raised, Bronze, Brown Patina, .
Born in Troyes, She Studied Under Chapu and Cain and Exhibited at the Salon From 1879 Onwards. She Specialized in Animal Figures. See J. Mackay, Dictionary of Sculptors in Bronze, 1977. -
