Description
Much in the medallion Heriz style, this west Persian, finely knotted semi-geometric scatter from an accomplished atelier working in the â€œHalvaie" quality, host a dark blue field centred by a cardinal red scalloped and leaf-edged medallion. Short trees with writhing ecru branches grow from each end of the field and these latter closely embrace the medallion. Rose curvy-stepped corners. Red reversing turtle border. Upright, close-clipped pile of excellent Kurdish tribal wool. Urban work. Good condition.
