From the desirable: Hajji Jalili: period and definitely in that style, the abrashed rusty red madder open field in the general "book cover" style, is centred by a tall, pendanted navy 12 point and lobber medallion with a cream eight palmette octogramme sub-medallion. Ivory extended corners inset with escutcheon medallions. Navy strip- style border with vigorous forked acanthus arabesques and two types of reversing petal palmettes. Fine weave. Cotton foundation. Short and firm pile. Good condition.
