Description
Although showing end reduction this is still a finely woven example from the first generation of revived Kashan carpet weaving. The ecru field shelters a concave rust diamond medallion with a navy octilobe sub-medallion, in a four way symmetrical palmette pattern. Rust corners with palmettes. Navy border with octagonal rosettes. Finely woven on cotton. Still chunky and angular drawing. Velvety short pile.
