Description
This relatively early, Interwar large scatter eschews the usual medallion pattern for a dense allover pattern based on full ivory four palmette quatrefoils and half ivory octogrammes on a deep navy ground with a layered large central rosette. Greens, blues, red and straw-gold are among the many detail tones. Ivory main border of blue escutcheon and other palmettes. Very finely woven, with cotton foundation and a short-clipped velvety pile. Good condition.
