Often Karabagh and Northwest Persian rugs are so close that it is practically impossible to definitively separate them. This wide runner could be either. The dark blue field shows a one-way pattern of sharp palmettes in a wide range of colors including: ecru, yellow, pale blue, red, light blue, black and salmon-rust. Three angularly scalloped and quadruple pendanted medallions in red and ivory, with contrasting centres, add to the complex polychrome. Coral main border of rosettes and fan palmette minors in ivory and golden yellow. Medium rustic weave. Good condition.
