Antique handmade Persian Sultanabad / mahal , 8'11" x 11'11", c-1900"s, good quality and has woven with fine lustrous wool. (famous for producing rugs that have larger scale patters and are casual in feel than those that were woven in other major cities and weaving centers ).
The pattern is not exactly floral or geometric, a unique feature which makes them extremely versatile and can be incorporated in almost any setting or décor. This rug is regarded as some of the best examples of folk art weaving, the design is diamond and curling leaf” pattern, beautiful red an ivory, gold and yellow and green colors with green border.
This carpet is in good condition with Wear consistent with age and use and it has been professionally cleaned.
