This 1920's Arak Province village carpet shows a warm red field with the period-characteristic detached floral spray pattern, flowing around the small central motif with eight radiating navy and teal palmettes. Navy border with laurel and floral sprays, and fantastic palmettes. Well-woven on cotton, with a shorter pile. Attractive field abrash. Good condition.
