Description
The well-woven village carpets from the Arak/Sultanabad area, especially the red field/navy border, detached floral spray pattern “American Sarouks" of the 1920-1970 period. Robust and leathery, on cotton. Recent examples show medallions and classic allover patterns. Best Sarouks are reputed to be Mohajerans. Moderate to medium priced.
