Description
This finely woven, impeccably drawn central Persian city scatter shows a rare pale blue field overlaid by strap work decorated by floriated botehs. Millefleurs filler fits neatly in the strap work. Red border with winged palmettes and bracketed Palmettes. Palmette minors on near black grounds. Tehran rugs are usually unique: a precise pattern cartoon was meticulously drawn for each rug and not re-used. Cotton foundation. Good condition.
