The navy field of this rustic Bakhtiari rug from the Chahar Mahal weaving area in west Persia shows a double vertical repeat of the cypress, weeping willow and chenar tree design popular over much of western Iran.The ivory ground, strip style border shows geometric, chained medallions in the reserves, and half medallion lateral fillers. The colors are rich and saturated. Moderate weave. Good condition.
