Description
Hand Colored Copper Engraving “Ingleby Mannor the Seat of the Honble. Sr. Wm. Foulis Bartt.,” by Johannes Kip. From Kip’s most significant series, Britannia Illustrata.
Johannes Kip (1652-1722) was born in the Netherlands and studied with the important Dutch engraver Bastiaen Stopendaal. He later moved to Westminster, where he worked as an engraver for several London publishers and specialized in perspective views of English country estates.
